Project 1:

For this project, we must create an infographic poster design based on videos of recipes from the Pasta Grannies YouTube channel.

I selected the recipe video after watching a few others and finally deciding on the one I liked best.

I chose this video because I'm a big fan of potato pie. The interactive atmosphere inside is also very good.

First of all, I started to analyze the materials needed for production and then analyzed the steps of production. I made a draft.

I started looking for some infographics on Pinterest for reference.

I start arranging and laying out my assets.

Next, I put my assets on the layout, trying to find the best position for them.

I asked Mr. Hafiz for suggestions and got feedback (needs more focus and more concise, fonts need to increase legibility, and need to create a hierarchy of text, subheadings, and bold regular fonts to emphasize important information)

After the modification, I asked Mr. Hafiz for suggestions, and the feedback I got was to put the description on top of the image and reduce the negative space.

Finally, I made one last modification.

We are required to animate an infographic video of the recipe that we've chosen by using the asset we have illustrated.

Final Outcome

  Project 2:

 Kinetic Typography 

Teacher Martin taught us how to use After Effects to create dynamic typography. This is a group assignment, and we need to make the lyrics of a song into a typography.

After class we had our first group meeting and we picked out a few songs and people started voting on the song that we would end up doing the typography on. After a vote, we decided to use Taylor Swift's "Look what you made me do" as our track, because it was a hit and it was easier to imagine how to make typography.

We started looking for suitable references, and we decided to put the references we thought were valuable into a shared album for analysis.

In order to complete it more efficiently, we began to assign each person to be responsible for the lyrics.

Reflection:

The software Adobe After Effects is relatively new to me. I was basically exposed to software such as Ai and Ps before. After projects 1 and 2 and some exercises, I became more familiar with this software than before and got some improvements.
