Week 1 we should create one design of Gestalt theory and one design of Contrast.My first exercise is for Contrast.

Contrast is to have obvious difference, contradiction and opposition of the two sides arranged together, comparative performance techniques. Contrast is to compare opposite meanings or things, or two aspects of things together, so that readers can distinguish good from bad and right from wrong in comparison. The technique of contrast in writing is to place both sides of the contradictions in things, phenomena and processes under certain conditions, so that they are concentrated in a complete artistic unity, forming a complementary comparison and echo relationship. Using this technique is conducive to fully showing the contradictions of things, highlighting the essential characteristics of things, and strengthening the artistic effect and appeal of the article.
My design inspiration comes from the side face of an anime character .
The line of her side face is particularly obvious under the pure black background, so I want to make a comparative design with the shadow of the figure's side face.

Exercise 2 I should create one design of Gestalt theory.

Gestalt, as a psychological term, has two meanings: one refers to the general properties of things, that is, form; The individual entity of a thing, the separate whole, whose form is only one of its properties. In other words, "If there is an empirical phenomenon, every component of which is implicated in the others; And the fact that each component has its own character, that is, because it has relations with the other parts, is called a gestalt." In short, gestalt is not an isolated and unchanging phenomenon, but refers to the whole phenomenon related. The complete phenomenon has its own complete characteristics, which can not be separated into simple elements, and its characteristics are not contained in any element.
I was inspired by this vase. When I saw the lines on its exterior, I thought it could outline the shape of the human side face, which could be used for gestalt design.
